Description:
Description:
While Facebook allows its users to connect with pre-existing relationships, we plan to turn our focus on centralizing communication within educational institutions, reaching the intellectually-driven student body at prestigious colleges.
My project members and I have conducted extensive research/surveys and planning within out respective institutions (Stanford University, Wake Forest University, Princeton, University of Washington and Yale University). Subsequently, we have keen knowledge on the "teen" market, regarding top institutions across the nation.

Website Description:
After a scholar confirms his/her membership with their @edu email address, they may access the appropriate "Campus Hub" which is a live feed with all posted content pertaining to that particular college. We have designed new platforms to successfully execute our web vision, understanding that aesthetics (as shown by Steve Jobs) play a significant role in user attraction as well.

Revenue:
The primary revenue comes from the thousands of local businesses wherein representatives from each college will be hired to promote ad spots to businesses near their campus. Concurrently, users will be able to make quick references to their desired services beyond the campus (restaurants, salons, internships, etc.)
Secondary revenue comes from the serving collaborating institutions that use the site. My webteam will train the school's administration on how to maintain the site. Likewise, their access to the site will be charged with an annual fee.

Status:
Currently, the website's "blueprint" is near completion, constructed by a startup that was modestly funded by Wake Forest University and paid from our own pockets, $2,500. The next step is to place the "blue print" on bid to several Web Companies to determine who can code the project at the best price.

Angel Investors Funding Request:
- $120,000: Cost, estimated by the Development team, of hiring a web company/computer engineers to code the website.
- $40,000: For the first year (2010-2011), 11 Wake Forest University graduates will be employed for site maintenance and accountancy/financial operations between local businesses. This will also cover the cost for basic technical equipment/database servers. Temporary office will be held at Wake Forest University.

Summary:
My total funding request is $160,000 for the construction of a website that offers scholars a means to centralize institutional communication.

Please contact me for further detail and action. Become part of an exciting new business. Thank you.
