Description:
The main areas of activities of the Institute are variety breeding of agricultural crops (including vegetables), applied research on agro technical aspects and seed production of agricultural crops and basic research in genetics and heritability of valuable traits, selection and description of genetic resources.
Innovative greenhouse vegetable research is waiting for funding. Those ideas are innovative in the whole world allowing followed resluts: have less insects attacs and fewer diseases during growing season, vegetables will taste better and store long time after ended research. The whole cycle with different experiments lasts 10 years. The research needs approximately 200 000 USD per year, in total 2 million USD.
